‘Outstanding’ Secondary School – Ward of Ladywood

Are you a Maths graduate looking to train as a teacher without racking up more student debt? An ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in Ladywood is offering a salaried teacher training route – providing paid, hands-on classroom experience while you gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Key Details
  • Role: Salaried Teacher Trainee – Maths
  • Location: Ward of Ladywood
  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Starting Salary: £23,000
  • Contract Type: Permanent

The Role
You’ll work alongside experienced Maths teachers while completing your Initial Teacher Training on a salaried route. • Are committed, enthusiastic, and resilient
  • Are ready to train in an ‘Outstanding’ school with a strong track record of developing teachers

This high-achieving school in Ladywood has a national reputation for excellence in Maths education. Staff are well-supported, behaviour is strong, and the leadership team is deeply invested in professional development. The school has successfully trained numerous salaried trainees who have gone on to become outstanding teachers and middle leaders.

The school offers an exceptional ECT induction programme following successful completion of training, including:

  • A dedicated mentor from within the Maths department
  • Weekly CPD and coaching tailored to your development
  • A reduced timetable in your first year as an ECT
  • Opportunities to observe outstanding practitioners
  • A strong, collaborative department with regular planning support

How to Apply
If you’re ready to train as a Maths teacher in a supportive, high-performing school and want to earn while you learn, we’d love to hear from you. Interviews are taking place soon – secure your salaried training place now.
