The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed Year 1 ECT to join a well-established primary school with a strong ethos of collaboration and inclusivity. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that build foundational skills in reading, writing, and numeracy. You will be supported by experienced parallel teachers and a dedicated Key Stage 1 team, ensuring you are never working in isolation and can share ideas and best practices.
 
The Candidate
The school is looking for a motivated and nurturing ECT who is excited to begin their teaching career in Key Stage 1. You should have:
 
  • A degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve QTS by September 2025
  • A passion for early primary education and a strong understanding of child development
  • The ability to create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A collaborative and reflective approach to teaching and learning
